Inherited Part

We have introduced a new feature in the PCFitment, “Inherited Parts”. It means whenever you need the same fitments across multiple parts, you do not need to add fitments in all parts. Just add a part and its fitments and add the inherited part like below.

As shown above, we have added Part# CDP35148 and added 38 fitments in this.

Now we need the same fitment in Part# CDP35148-1, Part# CDP35148-2, and so on.

So now, we add Part# CDP35148-1, and Part# CDP35148-2 as inherited parts shown below.

Here we need to add the Inherited Part# and ASIN and click on “Add” button. Once I click on Add it will be added to the database and show in the grid like below.

When you open the Inherited Part, it will show a window like below.

NOTE:  You cannot add/update/delete fitments from the inherited parts. Whenever you want to add/update/delete fitments, you will have to make the update in the parent part like “CDP35148”. Only then it will be affected in all the inherited parts.

Once you submit all the fitments to Amazon, all inherited parts will be submitted with their parent part fitments. To submit fitments you can refer to our article https://partsconnect.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/sections/115000307712-Submit-to-Amazon.
